Meet Sofia

Sofia Alexandria is the ultimate make-up powerhouse and mastermind behind Sofia Alexandria Makeup Artistry. Sofia hails from the Baltimore Metropolitan region providing on location makeup services up and down the East coast. Not only does she specialize and thrive with wedding and bridal events, but she takes on eclectic projects with high-end fashion, body painting, theatre, Special FX, TV and film. Some of her most recent and elite colleagues include Happily Ever After Elite Artistry and Hair Design Team. Her work has also been featured in noteworthy places such as The Baltimore Sun newspaper, Fox 45 Morning News, The Baltimore Tattoo Convention, The Maryland Science Center, Preakness Fashion Week, Indie Short films, and commercials including all star client, Jonathan Ogden from the Baltimore Ravens.  

When she’s not running her own freelance company, she’s a full-time beauty advisor for some of the top brands names in luxury makeup at Nordstrom. Sofia's cosmetic retail experience has taught her the skills necessary to provide excellent customer services for every one of her clients. From 2014 to 2017, Sofia was one of the top brand ambassadors for the worlds leading makeup brands, Lancôme Cosmetics. Sofia is an expert when it comes to all of the latest beauty trends, products, and cutting edge makeup and skincare technology. This craft keeps her on her toes with the latest and freshest looks and products on the market.  

Sofia has a free-spirited and vivacious attitude making her extremely fun and easy going to work with on projects. She caters to each client and pampers them from the minute they sit in her chair, until the moment they walk down the aisle or runway. Whimsical yet classical looks are her favorite but she’s not afraid to push the envelope and create a look that’s dramatic and enticing. She flourishes with every new challenge she takes on and is never afraid to try something new.

Theatre and performance were introduced to Sofia at an early age and it has carried into her professional career. She loves her time in front of an audience and is a circus arts performer specializing in fire performance such as fire eating, fire fans, and fire hooping. Her passions and hobbies are everything to her and she incorporates them into her business.
